To whomsoever it may concern
Thank you for submitting re-evaluation requests. Please note the following.
- The provisional score of RMO 2024 may either increase or decrease or remain the same after re-evaluation. If there is no change in provisional score after re-evaluation, it should not be construed as “no re-evaluation was done”.
- As a matter of policy the emails sent to HBCSE along with the re-evaluation requests will neither be replied to individually nor would they be referred to before, during or after the re-evaluation is conducted. In fact it should be noted that such emails are seen as means of inducing bias in the minds of the evaluators. Please refrain from writing such emails to us no matter how noble the intentions may be.
- The final scores of RMO 2024 will be declared along with the final results of RMO 2024. The final results of RMO 2024 will be declared on or before December 16, 2024. Please keep checking this page intermittently.
The selection criteria for IMOTC 2025 from INMO 2025 is here. The IMOTC 2025 will be held in Chennai Mathematical Institute, Chennai from May 8 – 31, 2025.
Please note that the dates of IMOTC 2025 are tentative and will be confirmed after the publication of INMO 2025 results on March 5, 2025.

The RMO 2024 official solutions are available here. Please record your comments here. No comment will be received after 23:59 on November 8, 2024.
Once a student registers, they will be able to download the admit card immediately.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Students must appear for RMO 2024 at the center assigned in the region of their school. No requests for a change of center will be entertained.
If there is only one center in the region, students will have no choice and must appear for RMO from that center. If multiple centers are available within the region, students will have the option to choose from the available centers.

You are hereby advised to NOT approach Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) with a request to postpone the Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO) 2024 examination which is scheduled to be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024 on grounds of a clash with any festive event that falls on the same day (November 3, 2024). The date of RMO 2024 was decided several months ago keeping in mind the overall schedule of the olympiad cycle 2024-2025 making due allowances for smooth and efficient execution of the intermediate stages. It is NOT possible to change the date of RMO 2024 examination at this stage. Thank you for your understanding.

HBCSE is aware of allegations of malpractices that may have happened in some regions during the IOQM 2024 examination held on Sunday, September 8, 2024. The Mathematics Teachers’ Association (India) (MTA(I)) who conducted the IOQM 2024 examination have taken cognizance of these allegations and are investigating the matter. Please be assured that HBCSE is committed to the integrity of the Olympiad process, and necessary action, if required, will be taken after a thorough investigation.
Announcement of the stages of selection for the 2024-2025 cycle
In the 2024-2025 cycle the selection to the International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp (IMOTC) will be accomplished in three stages.
First stage exam:

- Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (IOQM)

- The IOQM 2024 enrollment has begun. Please visit https://ioqm.manageexam.com/ (also reachable through http://ioqmexam.in) to enroll for IOQM 2024.

- The IOQM is conducted by the Mathematics Teachers’ Association (India). More details about the IOQM will be announced in June 2024 on the MTA(I) website https://www.mtai.org.in/ .

- The eligibility criteria for IOQM 2024 is here
Date: September 8, 2024 Time: 10:00 to 13:00 hours (IST)-
- Duration: 3 hours

- Total marks: 100

- The answer to each question is an integer in the range 00-99. No negative marking. OMR-based exam.

- Composition of the paper: 10 questions of 2 marks each; 10 questions of 3 marks each; 10 questions of 5 marks each.
