The following students have been selected to attend IMOTC 2023 to be held at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), Mumbai from April 15 to May 13, 2023.

Important Dates

• Junior Batch arrival date: April 14, 2023

• Senior Batch arrival date: April 21, 2023 

• Practice Test 1: April 22, 2023 

• Practice Test 2: April 27, 2023 

• Team Selection Test 1: May 1, 2023 

• Team Selection Test 2: May 2, 2023 

• Team Selection Test 3: May 8, 2023 
• Team Selection Test 4: May 9, 2023 

Note:

1. 1. The invitation letter to the selected students will be sent by email by March 15, 2023. The email will be sent to the email address provided by the student at the time of registering for INMO 2023. 
   2. Please arrive on the designated arrival day.  No Senior Batch student will be allotted accommodation in HBCSE in case they arrive before April 21, 2023. 
   3. If you are an Indian citizen (not an OCI) who has qualified for the IMOTC 2023 and if you don’t have a valid Indian passport yet then please apply for it immediately. 
   4. Please bring a valid official photo ID (Aadhaar / Passport) with you to IMOTC 2023. The photo ID will be used to verify your identity. 
   5. Please initiate your travel plans to Mumbai right away. You are eligible for reimbursement of AC 3-tier train fare by the shortest route from your place to Mumbai and back.

Along with the INMO 2023 Awardees  selected to attend the IMOTC 2023 the following students also qualified as INMO 2023 Awardees on the basis of their performance in INMO 2023. These students were assigned to one of the Science Olympiad OCSCs on account of their having qualified the respective INO examination and having given higher preference to the respective Science subject than Mathematics. 

1. All the INMO 2023 Awardees are eligible to receive the INMO Awardee Certificate. 
2. The practice of issuing INMO Merit Awardee Certificate to students has been discontinued from 2022.  

The following students are eligible to compete for selection to the Indian team for EGMO 2024. The date and the venue of the EGMO Training Camp (EGMOTC) will be announced after August 31, 2023.

INMO 2023 Related Announcement

The INMO 2023 tentative scores are now available. Students will be allowed to submit re-evaluation requests till 23:59, Thursday, February 16, 2023. Re-evaluation requests received after the deadline will not be entertained.

The final list of students who qualify for IMOTC 2023 will be announced by March 2, 2023.

Announcement on Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad(APMO) 2023

The INMO 2023 Awardees are eligible to write the APMO 2023. If you are NOT an INMO 2023 Awardee then you will not be allowed to write APMO 2023.

The date and time of the examination: Tuesday, March 14, 2023, 09.00 am – 1.00 pm

Please note that the provisional solutions to INMO 2023 problems will be posted on this page by 17:30 on Monday, January 16, 2023. Please send any comments on the statements of the problems asked in INMO 2023 examination and their provisional solutions to matholy@hbcse.tifr.res.in .Comments on the problem statements and provisional solutions received after 17:30 on Thursday, January 19, 2023 will not be entertained.  

International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp (IMOTC): 

Tentative dates of IMOTC : April 15th to May 13, 2023

Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO):

Based on the performance in IOQM held on Oct 30, 2022 students selected to appear for INMO 2023 to be held on Jan 15, 2023 are allotted examination centres as per the school pin code registered during IOQM. No centre change request will be entertained unless there are genuine cases like transfers provided one submits documents/proof of transfer.

INMO 2023 Examination Registration is now open.

INMO2022 Awardees may kindly note the new roll numbers for registering & appearing for INMO2023.

Eligibility criteria for INMO 2023 and the selection criteria for IMOTC 2023

The students who will be writing INMO 2023 will have to register themselves for the examination. The registration portal will open after December 20, 2022.

In the 2022-2023 cycle the selection to the International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp (IMOTC) will be accomplished in two stages.

First stage exam:

• Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (IOQM)
  Date: October 30, 2022  Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM (IST)
  1. Duration: 3 hours
  2. Total marks: 100
  3. The answer to each question is an integer in the range 00-99. No negative marking. OMR-based exam.
  4. Composition of the paper: 10 questions of 2 marks each; 12 questions of 5 marks each; 2 questions of 10 marks each.

Second stage exam:

• Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO)
  Date: January 15, 2023Time: 12:00 to 16:00 Hrs.
  1. Duration: 4 hours
  2. Number of questions: 06
  3. Each question requires writing detailed proof.
