Chemistry Olympiad Exposure Camp

Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) is a National Centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai. The broad goals of the Centre are to promote equity and excellence in science and mathematics education from primary school to undergraduate college level. It is India's nodal centre for Olympiad programmes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Astronomy.

We announce a chemistry Olympiad exposure camp for teachers. The camp will consist of various exposure sessions on experimental and theoretical components in the chemistry Olympiad programme. Eminent scientists/speakers will interact with participants on various interesting topics, giving them a flavor of chemistry Olympiad activity.

We are happy to invite high school (teaching at X to XII class)/college teachers, who teach CHEMISTRY at any school (X to XII class)/college, to participate in the camp.

Please send the completed application form (which can be downloaded with a link at the bottom of this page) to reach on or before October 29, 2012. We will inform the teachers regarding the selection by November 6, 2012.

All the participants will be eligible for to and fro travel fare as per the entitlement (maximum only upto II AC). All the teachers will be given the registration kit and free tea/snacks/Lunch during all the three days of the workshop. Accommodation will be provided to the participants in HBCSE guest house.
